Hi guys! You may have heard that I teamed up with Dremel to bring a collection of rotary tools to JOANN Fabric and Craft Stores! The items are doing well in stores and I hope those of you who have purchased a Dremel 3000 + Flex Shaft or a Dremel Lite are enjoying working with them!

I love both my tools and recently made a futuristic chest piece to play around with my textured EVA foam and half-moon dowels, also available at JOANN (in store and online). I thought I would make a little video showing you the process, especially how easy it was for me to use the cordless Dremel Lite to smooth and bevel edges.

I love being able to use it in my home studio for smaller details, throw it in a bag and use it in my warehouse where I can really make a mess sanding. The cordless feature and the size of the Lite is perfect for me to use it anywhere, sitting or standing, at any angle. It's quickly become my go-to Dremel tool. The most fun feature is the USB charging connector!! I just love that I can charge my phone and the Lite on the same travel brick charger hahahaha!

The foam I used is the 6mm Space Hex textured 3D foam, which is easy to cut and shape. I altered a chest piece pattern by Kamui Cosplay and used contact cement to glue the pieces together. The half-moon dowels ae great for adding decorative trims quickly, and I found that with the dowels acting a visual line, you didn't have to line up the hexagon shapes perfectly at each seam. Get more out of the foam sheet that way! At the end, I primed the chestpiece with black plasti-dip!

I'm feeling much better as of this morning and am excited to get back to crafting next week! Posting this video is as much as motivator for me as it hopefully is for you. I'm humbled and grateful to be able to bring these materials and tools to easily accessible stores across the USA and really can't wait to see what the cosplay community conjures up with them this year! If you like this video, please leave me a comment or share it with your friends. Let me know what other videos you'd like for me to make! What about the Dremel tools do you want to know more about? What could help you take the leap and get into armor making?

Thank you so much for your always appreciated support and I hope to see you on camera and in person soon!
