Derecho gust front in Ferrara (Italy)

The arrival of a derecho gust front from SW to Ferrara in Italy, due to the entry in the early day hours on the western Mediterranean Sea, of a cold air mass at high altitude of maritime polar origin.
Thanks to the high temperatures of the sea surface, around 30°C and above the average of 5°C, the entry of the cold air mass led to the formation of a mesoscale storm system from Mallorca to Vienna.
