Description :

On the 20th of March during the seventh episode of “Singer 2020”, Zhou Shen sang “Possible Night”, originally composed and sung by the singer Yico Zeng. This song was released on the 29th of April 2013, and later became an interlude song of the trending 2016 TV drama show “Love O2O”.

“Possible Night” became even more expressive after the new rearrangement. Zhou’s version incorporated a tender narration and extract from the French musical “La Vie en Rose”. Originally a gentle and tranquil piece with the singing gently whispering into your ears, now his new interpretation strongly expressed determined love and affection.

By using ASMR techniques, Zhou Shen’s arrangement designed special ambient effects at the beginning of the song and painted a canvas for the audience: Stars reflecting on the sea, flickering candlelight covering the beach; from uncertainty to celebrating love’s arrival.

Zhou Shen has said: “I don't know what I can do for them, but they have given me so much strength. I would hope that I can take this power, this strength by putting it in my song (to sing it to them).”

Zhou Shen hopes that every stage and every song of his will become positive energies in the life of his fans, and accompany them to move forward steadily. “Possible Night” was a goodnight lullaby gifted to his Sheng Mi. In his gentle singing, we can hear his appreciation to his fans for their continuous company and support. On the highly competitive stage of “Singer”, Zhou Shen is one the few who would rather use this as an opportunity to express gratitude to his fans.

After “Singer 2020” EP7 screened on the 20th of March 2020, Zhou Shen shared his video clip and wrote on Weibo:

The simplest words, straightforward but encompassing Zhou Shen’s deepest appreciation to Sheng Mi.

The sentimental narration in the song resonated with countless fans; it was like Zhou Shen whispering in your ears, with the music continuously shortening the distance and drawing you closer. His warm voice is full of the warm love of accompaniment, presenting the peaceful tranquility of rest at night. The emotions seeped through the words, uniting the world’s beauty bit by bit into one song. In the long dark night our hearts move closer, with his tender singing we harvest the nectar of happiness together.
