Ok ok, I've gotten a lot of flack about me calling this particular part of Bahamas the slums. Let me elaborate. When we arrived in Nassau, me and my group was recruited on a tour of Nassau righ in the docking area of our cruise. The tour guide was a local and referred to this area as the slums. I, in no way shape or form meant to offend anyone. I figured this is the name that everyone in Nassau referred to this particular area as. The tour took us through the lower ,middle, and upper classes of the city and was extremely informative of Bahamian culture and I consider it a privilege to have only spent 15$ for the 3 hour tour around this beautiful city. We saw various landmarks, was taken to a few local markets, and rode by the mayor's house and very interesting thus i put it under education. Again I did not mean to offend.
