HP Officejet 7740 Failed Firmware Rollback

This video is to show how possibly the most recent firmware update is preventing this officejet printer from using 3rd party cartridges even if the firmware roll back works. I currently dont have more up to date ink cartridges but I have updated many of the same model printer with no issues. Only difference in this customer's case is that the printer was purchased this year and he only turned off the automatic updates in September. So more than likely the July firmware update has already been installed on the printer.

The second half of the video showcases the printhead was inserted in my test printer an 8710 with an older firmware but the cartridge is being recognized so I know for sure the cartridge problem error is not the cartridge being faulty.
