Former Tasmanian Attorney General says leaked message part of Liberals smear campaign | ABC News

Tasmania's former attorney-general Elise Archer says a leaked WhatsApp message in which she appears to criticise victim-survivors of child sexual abuse has been taken out of context and was leaked by the Premier Jeremy Rockliff's office to damage her.

In the message to a staff member handling a social media post, Ms Archer said: "Turn off comment please. Sick of victim-survivors".

The message, which Ms Archer was old and taken out of context, was revealed a day after Mr Rockliff sacked Ms Archer from the cabinet.
