Pain, tears, sadness and horror- all this has been going on for long days in my soul and I'm sure in yours as well. The liberated Irpin, Bucha, Gostomel and other towns and villages of the Kyiv region have become a new measuring stick of the concepts of "atrocity" and "genocide". There is more and more evidence of inhuman treatment of the civilian population of Ukraine. Perhaps no less frightening are the attempts of Russian leaders to pass it off as staging and provocation. For them, accustomed to lying from the highest offices of society, this may be normal, but for us who know Buchа and Gostomel residents, who received rare calls from Bucha's basements and listened to the stories of those who managed to escape- this is a horrible insult to a terrible reality, and on the other hand, a deadly truth for Russians, even if they don't want to hear it yet. It is really impossible to accept and understand, it seems that even greater darkness has come into the world, that there is not a single silver lining or hope that thousands of people, mutilated physically, morally and spiritually, are shouting "Where is God"?

Dear citizens of Irpin, Bucha, Gostomel - Ukrainians. I cry out to God along with you. My lexicon is not enough to express my sympathy for you… I stand in awe and keep silent before the Lord, I know that He knows everything, that human history will eventually submit to His plan. The Bible tells the story of Job, who lost his property, being looted and destroyed physically, he was condemned by his friends. His business was ruined and all his children were killed - How could t this happen to a normal, righteous man? After all he also cried out to God - Why? In due time, Job received his answer about the meaning of suffering - I believe we also will.

The horrendous matyr's death of civilians is absolutely beyond our apprehension - but their blood, like the blood of Abel, innocently killed by his brother, cries out for revenge: we definitely hope for the court of the world most authoritative institutions , if they still mean something, but what is more important - we hope for irrevocable and incorruptible God's judgment at the right time: "Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels, 'Go and pour out on the earth the seven bowls of God's wrath'" Revelation 16: 1. Justice is coming, it is important not to lose patience and not to drown in hatred. It will not solve anything special, but it will poison tour heart and mind, making it incapable to love and be useful.

So, until this judgment takes place, we Christians must become those who will show everyone with broken heart, who has been injured by war - where God is. We must show the living God in us. In the love we bring to our people, to everyone who needs it so much now. In the midst of grief, pain, evil and the visible triumph of injustice on our earth, we must bring the love of Christ, His mercy and compassion to Irpen, Bucha, Gostomel, Vorzel, Makariv and other towns...

How to do it practically:
- Help as much as you can, be attentive to each other's needs.
- Listen sympathetically.
- Pray after the conversation about the person and his needs, if he is open to prayer.

Our mission is to love people. Love those who risk their lives to protectus Love those who have lost their loved ones and and now feel like the've lost their souls. Love those who work and earn money to fill up the budget.
Our mission is to believe and hope. The month of war has undoubtedly changed everyone, and it is impossible not to feel righteous anger when you see the ruins of your city, mass graves in parks or tortured peaceful citizens. Therefore, in the midst of human pain, hostility and anger, we must carry love, faith and hope. Through us, the light of Jesus must dispel the dark clouds of despair and hopelessness. Let's carry the words of good and hope for the people around us, the words that the darkest time is before the dawn, that the power given to evil is not going to last forever and Light and truth will surely prevail.

We will be celebrating Easter soon.
After the crucifixion of Jesus, it seemed to the disciples that the whole world was plunged into darkness and death gained its victory. But the triumph of death lasted only three days and grew definitively and irrefutably into defeat - by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
So I urge you not to give up, not to be dismayed and not to get tired of waiting for the victory to come. And may the risen Lord Jesus give us the strength and faith to endure the short triumph of death before His final and indisputable victory.
