The government has increased the STT (Securities Transaction Tax) on F&O, i.e., Futures and Options. Now, the tax on the sale of Futures has increased from 0.02% to 0.05%, while the tax on Options premium has been raised from 0.1% to 0.15%.

What will be the impact? For intraday traders and frequent traders, each trade will become more expensive. Paying higher tax may reduce your net earnings and take more time to reach the break-even point.

The government says this step has been taken to reduce speculative trading.

सरकार ने F&O यानी फ्यूचर्स और ऑप्शंस पर
STT यानी सिक्योरिटीज ट्रांजैक्शन टैक्स बढ़ा दिया है।
अब फ्यूचर्स की बिक्री पर टैक्स

सट्टेबाजी कम करने के लिए उठाया गया है।
