How to make honey - Making honey in Sweden 2020

Have you ever wondered how honey is made? Join us as we harvest our first ever batch of honey!

In this video we show you the honey-making process from start to finish. This includes harvesting the honey, uncapping the honeycomb, spinning the honey in the centrifuge, filtering it through three separate filters, creaming the honey so that it crystallises in a smooth, silky consistency and finally bottling and labelling the honey jars.

This year we had less honey than expected. This was partly due to the cold, cloudy weather, but also because of two swarms we had during the early summer which divided up and weakened our bee societies.

The video is set in the picturesque village of Venjan, in Dalarna, Sweden.
