How to Color Digital Art for Beginners in 3 Steps

Full in depth tutorial on how to color digital art for beginners in 3 steps.

This tutorial was made using Photoshop however the concepts apply to any program as I cover in the video.

I break down the process of coloring digitally into three stages to keep it simple while covering everything you need to know in order to make a fully colored digital artwork

The three stages are flat colors, shading, and lighting.

In this video I also quickly go over tracing lines from a scan to create digital line work to help make your final coloring results better.

The reference art I used is by Derek Laufman and a lot of the techniques are inspired by Marc Brunet. Both artists are great inspiration if you're interested.
