RICKIE LEE JONES
Must Be Love
The Oriental Theater
Denver, Colorado
May 29th, 2014
Many years ago in 1979 when I was an impressionable young guy, I was watching Saturday Night Live (you know, back when it was still funny) and they announced the upcoming music artist after the break was Rickie Lee Jones. I had never heard of her, but I remember at the time thinking a girl with the name Rickie had to be cool. After the commercial break she preformed "Chuck E.'s In Love" followed a little bit later by "Coolsville" and I was mesmerized! This girl could SING! I grew up in my own version of "Coolsville" when I was a kid so I immediately liked the song, and she was incredibly sexy in that backstreet "watch what you say or I'll kick your ass" kind of way! She was the woman I wanted to meet in a dark alley! Soon after the Saturday Night Live appearance, she played The Rainbow Music Hall in Denver (1979). Of course I went. Third row as I recall. I have been a hard core fan ever since!
Last night (May 29th, 2014), Rickie Lee performed at The Oriental Theater in Denver and I was lucky enough, once again, to be in the crowd. The Oriental Theater is a great place to see a show. Every seat has a great view of the stage. Rickie Lee came out and gave us a show that lasted a little over 90 minutes, containing a lot of her great hits and a bunch of material I haven't heard before. When she preforms, her warm personality comes across and you feel like she's just playing for a bunch of friends at an intimate little gathering. Her voice? There are no words that adequately describe it, it's incredible and you have to hear it for yourself!

PERSONAL NOTE TO RICKIE LEE JONES AND HER MANAGEMENT:
I am just a fan who has loved your music for many years. I was a professional musician myself for several years and I understand how hard artists' have to work to support themselves. I would never dream of selling or broadcasting any artists work for a monetary gain for myself. I would never steal from an artist! I am posting these few videos for other fans, like myself, to enjoy and in hopes of inspiring them to go see her on tour and support the new upcoming release. They are being posted for free. No monetary gain is coming to me from these. With the above in mind, I'm asking please don't flag me for copy write infringement. I have tried to provide a few links to help steer possible fans to her career and music. If you have any issues with the videos I have posted. please contact me and I will remove them. On the other hand, if Rickie Lee Jones or her management would like copies of the video I shot for her archives, please contact me through You Tube and that could be worked out as well.
All rights to the music in the videos I have posted belong to Rickie Lee Jones and her management and publishing company. I claim no right to the music and I am receiving no monetary gain from the publishing of these videos.

This video is being posted for your educational and entertainment purposes by The Rev. Bob Archives. If you like what you see, please give it a thumbs up and tell your friends! Always be excellent to each other and enjoy the show! Thanks for watching!
