I Expanded The Food Industry… And The Entire Colony Started Starving | Timberborn 1.0 | E027

In this episode of Timberborn, we’re trying to stabilize a massive city-building and colony management setup using power grids, automated food production, logistics chains, water control, and large-scale infrastructure expansion. If you enjoy strategy and simulation games like Factorio or Oxygen Not Included, this is basically what happens when optimisation turns into a full-scale engineering panic.

The mega projects are nearly complete, the industrial district finally has power, and I somehow decided THIS was the perfect moment to discover the entire colony is starving, half the workforce is incapacitated, and contaminated water has turned everyone into slow-moving liabilities.

So naturally the solution was more TNT.

We’re rebuilding the entire food network with grist mills, bakeries, storage hubs, emergency farmland, and panic-engineered power trenches while a drought barrels toward the colony like an extinction event. Meanwhile I’m still trying to finish giant construction projects, redesign forestry production, and convince myself this isn’t all collapsing in real time.

The food numbers are dropping, the builders are prioritizing the wrong disasters, and I may genuinely have engineered the downfall of the colony five episodes before conveyor belts become useful.
