STEP-BY-STEP CAPTURED BEAD CHAINMAILLE BRACELET TUTORIAL | GUARANTEED YOUR BEADS WON'T FALL OUT
NOTE : The size of the pearls is 10mm. I had forgotten to
include that in the video. Also the rings are in OD
This is a video on captured bead bracelet tutorial. It will show you the fast and simple way of making this bracelet design using chainmaille and beads.
My channel's main focus is obviously chainmaille, a historically male-dominated craft that was meant to produce armor. It has been my aim to use this same medium to make items of practicality and protection to create pieces that are appreciated by people who see the inherent beauty and elegance in chainmaille.
In some of my tutorials, the chainmaille weaves and patterns that I feature are used as a base or springboard to create unique offshoots, much like how the Byzantine Romanov and the European 4-in-1 Rosette are modified variants of the Byzantine and European 4-in-1 respectively. Each piece of jewelry also incorporates beads and various accents configured in many different ways. In essence, chainmaille has many possibilities to give birth to wondrous creations, it's only up to each individual to get the skills to make that wonder real.
As far as rings are concerned, there are times when I can't find the ring sizes I need or want, so what I do is I buy the wire instead and I just make them myself. I live in the U.S. so I'm more familiar with AWG, and this is what I use to measure them using a digital caliper. When I measure my jump rings, I measure the inner diameter of the rings ( which is the size of the rod I use to make them), and the wire diameter of the ring ( gauge ). If you are going to follow the ring sizes I use, for example, I mention 4.35mm or 8.05mm, just opt for 4mm and 8mm. You will have more chance of finding the 4mm and 8mm rings as opposed to finding 4.35 or 8.05mm rings.
