Edward ready with his 'gadget' as possible arrest of Zuma looms
The police ministry says if it doesn't receive a response from the office of the acting Chief Justice by the end of business today, they will have no choice but to effect the arrest warrant against the former president. Yesterday, Police Minister Bheki Cele informed the Acting Chief Justice, Raymond Zondo that he will hold off on the arrest of Zuma.
The Constitutional Court ordered that Zuma should hand himself over to the police in Nkandla or Johannesburg within five days if he fails to do so, Cele and the National Police Commissioner must take steps to arrest him and take him to prison.
Their deadline is midnight tonight.
