To Tell the Truth (1977) #3191 (1591) - Garry Moore's last show

Garry Moore stepped away from To Tell the Truth at the tail end of 1976 due to throat surgery. With Joe Garagiola (and occasionally Bill Cullen) pinch hitting during Garry's absence, the comedy legend and hosting veteran decided to step away from the show.

Airing in some markets as the first show in Fall '77 (in other markets earlier, in others later, and produced halfway through it), Garry returned for one final show to play the game one last time, explain where he'd been, and pass the baton formally to Garagiola. After this, he largely stepped away from the public eye, appearing in only a couple of specials and interviews before his death in 1993.
