THE TRAGEDY AND REDEMPTION OF HOW TO RUN AWAY

This is a film me and Ben made like 5 years ago on a road trip to Louisiana from New York. Don’t let the meandering charm confuse you, this was made with many stressful tears and after we fought through the pressures of shooting with film, the hard drive with all our project files on it crashed during post production and it was left abandoned...

Years later, I found a rough draft in the cloud that was farther than any of the others. For months I stitched together whatever survived, and had to re-record most of the sound to go with the silent 8mm footage.

Then, to add insult to injury, after all that I was able to finish and make it into a festival, only to get the scheduling wrong and miss the premiere. lol

I hope it invokes the melancholic American aimlessness that drove us to make it
