Ultra Street Fighter II Online Ranked Matches (Recorded on 5/28/17)
I decided to try out Ryu online, so here are some online matches using the most iconic character from Street Fighter II.
For me, as a Ken player, using Ryu simply involves reverting back to the mindset of Street Fighter II: The World Warrior (and perhaps Championship Edition), when Ken and Ryu had hardly any differences. I do prefer having a Dragon Punch that lunges forward, but Ryu's Dragon Punch is still quite powerful.
Also, when I was practicing, I couldn't seem to throw the fiery version of the hadouken, but then I discovered that Capcom had reversed the half circle movement from the SNES days. I don't know if that feature is new to this game or if the change was made in a prior version.
Luckily, there wasn't much lag in these matches (at least nothing to complain about), but I'm still having trouble with the Pro Controller's D-pad. I'm messing up special moves and accidentally jumping when I don't mean to. That arcade stick can't arrive soon enough.
Recorded with the Elgato Game Capture HD60 and the Switch's HDMI cable at native 1080p resolution and 60 frames per second. I'm using a Pro Controller.
