In this video I talk about the most powerful strategies I use to launch bestselling books. I didn't cover everything, (for example, choosing the right categories can make it MUCH easier to hit #1, and you can contact support and ask to be added to up to 10 categories). But I tried to boil down the essentials.

1. Build a list with book giveaways
2. Ad-stacking with book promo sites
3. List-trades with other authors

And a possible 4th: using graphic teasers to prelaunch and create anticipation. I also mention that there are two types of book launches: a first version where you don't have an audience, or time/money for book promotion; and a second version where you launch easily with zero marketing because you've built a platform.

Let me also comment here that MOST people's first book launches are terrible. Don't get upset or frustrated that you aren't amazing at everything the first time you try to figure this stuff out. Also don't get overwhelmed by ALL the stuff I talk about in this video - there are thousands of strategies, but I try to avoid all the noise and focus on building my own platform, which is the only long-term sustainable option that lets you earn more than you spend, and also Conversion (because getting your book to convert better can triple your earnings while slashing your advertising budget.)

Making a living as a writer isn't really about launching perfectly the first time; it's about incremental improvements and learning from mistakes. You must LAUNCH so that you can IMPROVE.
