Covid-19 forced the world to adapt to a 'new normal' in 2020 and the Royal Family were no exception.

Virtual calls and socially-distanced visits replaced the usual public engagements, as the pandemic forced everyone to find new ways of connecting.

Prince Charles and Prince William contracted the virus early in the year, while the Queen and Prince Philip spent many months self-isolating at Windsor Castle.

Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge looked every inch the future queen in 2020, launching initiatives, art exhibitions and even finding time for a whistle-stop tour of the country aboard the Royal Train.

Prince Harry and Meghan also made a big impact back in January, announcing plans to step down as senior royals.
