Näyte Pääesikunnan tiedotusosaston tilaamasta Puolustusvoimien esittelyelokuvasta 1980-luvun alusta. Arkistofilmin nykymittapuulla heikosta kuvanlaadusta huolimatta, huomio kiinnittyy upeisiin ilmakuviin ja ajan hengen mukaiseen, puolueettoman valtion hävittäjäkalustoon. Ilmavoimien käytössä torjuntahävittäjinä oli neuvostoliittolaisvalmisteinen MiG-21 BIS ja ruotsalainen Saab 35 Draken, joiden nähdään elokuvassa operoivan mm. maantietukikohdista.

A sample from a film presentation of the Finnish Defence Forces comissioned by the Public Relations Division of the Defence Command Finland in the early 1980´s. Despite the lack of image quality by modern standards the film offers some stunning aerial footage of the fighter planes of the era. Due to official policy of neutrality planes were acquired equally from east and west. At the time Finnish Air Force fighter jet force consisted of the Soviet built MiG-21 BIS and Swedish Saab 35 Draken which are seen operating from road bases in the film.
