After "mom unfollows her on Instagram," Miley Cyrus makes a rare statement about her family.
The 32-year-old singer clarified their current relationship after unfounded allegations circulated that Tish Cyrus had unfollowed her daughter on Instagram.
Miley posted on her Instagram Stories on Saturday, saying, "My mama and I are too close for anything to ever come between us. I rarely comment on rumors." She is my closest pal. Simple, coincidental, and uninteresting, she unfollowed me because she doesn't know how to use her phone, like many mothers do.
"My dad and I have had our challenges over the years," the "Hannah Montana" album said, referring to her relationship with her father, Billy Ray Cyrus.
"I'm in my thirties now, and my family comes first," Miley said. Knowing that bridges have been constructed and that time has done a great deal of healing has given me serenity. Thankful for the love and health that permeate my family.
In response to the unfollowing on X, Tish, 57, wrote that she "doesn't know how that happened but it's fixed now!"
"I would never unfollow Miley; we are as close as ever," she continued.
Billy Ray, 63, posted a photo of himself at his Tennessee farm with her daughter, her boyfriend Max Morando, and 31-year-old Braison the day before Miley's post.
The dad of Cyrus wrote, "Happy Birthday Braison!!!!!" as the caption for his Friday Instagram photo.
Miley, Braison, and Noah are the children of Tish and Billy Ray, who were wed from 1993 till 2022.
The country music artist also has a son named Christopher from a previous relationship and adopted Brandi and Trace, the children of his ex-wife.
