And Koyasan is Japan’s largest religious center.
It retains an original culture and history that differ from Kyoto and Nara.
With a history of 1200 years, Koyasan has flourished as a center for practicing the Shingon sect of orthodox esoteric Buddhism.
This video introduces not only the fantastic architecture found on Koyasan, but the uniquely spiritual outlook on the world depicted in Buddhist mandala.
