1. Buy one get one, free shipping, first 10 orders get a free gift, etc… just make sure that you tie this offer to an end date and have multiple reminders of this deadline approaching in order to expect it to work.
2. You could let the customer know of an upcoming price increase, that a certain color is only available for a certain time, or if you have REALLY GOOD rapport with them (not hard) you can let them know of any sales goals you are trying to break at that time and you’ll be surprised how many jump at the opportunity.
3. When I sold knives, we had this one knife that had a ton of different uses but in order to sell it right then and there l, we would emphasize the uses that would likely come up for them sooner. In the summer, we would tell them about all of the BBQ applications the knife had and in the winter we would tell them about how it’s great on winter squashes for making soups and such. If they want to use it that month, then there’s only one way to do so, buy it.
In my current business, where I teach people how to run Instagram ads for their company themselves, I emphasize why starting in December is the best time of year to do so. The reason is because January is the cheapest month of the year to run an ads, which makes December the best month to start since the setup usually takes about a month and you want to be ready right at the start of the year.
