Queensland has brought forward the staged softening of the state border by a couple of days.
Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk announced that from 5pm, people who are fully vaccinated will be able to travel to Queensland from hotspots like Victoria, New South Wales and the ACT as long as they fly, test negative within the previous 72 hours and home quarantine for 14 days.

Home quarantine is only allowed if your home is within two hours of the airport you’re flying into.
The “70 per cent trigger” was due to kick in on Friday but the system will now start this afternoon.
The next trigger is 80 per cent double dosed, when quarantine rules are dropped for domestic travellers from hotspots.
Queensland is still open to other states that aren’t declared hotspots.
The state recorded no new local cases overnight.
