Tiny Tiles, Large Art

Using rare tiles from across the globe, artist Joshua Winer created a large scale work of art: "Gone Swimmin". Now on display in Allen, Texas!

Description: Mosaics on six columns; four in the front on the columns supporting the facility's sign band; two in the back near the pool.

The bands of swimmers are fabricated from iridescent mosaic tiles, in a shimmering palette of iridescent aqua-blues, on wave patterns of white glass tile that mimic the flowing movement of water, harmonizing with the aqua-blue architectural accent color.

The background field is fabricated from porcelain glazed tile, in a palette of warm golds that complement the earth tones of the building masonry.
