GINZAN ONSEN (Silver Mountain Hot Spring)

Ginzan Onsen is one of my bucket list to see/ visit here in Japan specifically during winter. I am so thrilled that first few days of 2023 that Bucket list is ticked.

500 years ago this mountain village is silver mining place. When the mining closed it gain popularity with amongst the Japanese for the village is picturesque during winter.

good thing to know. the village is still not heavily commercialised, ( that's both Good and Bad)
Good because it maintained the old time vibes. Also at least when we went although there's tourist, it is not really crowded.
Bad because there's not much option for food/drink. ( we waited for more than hour to have a drink but it was so slow) we decided not to wait any longer.
We took the Hanagasa bus from Oishida Station ( bus is only limited to 5x in a day) please check Hanagasa Bus Schedule when you go. as timing schedule might change.
This place is truly a place where you can just relax and enjoy the nature. That is if you have book an onsen hotel. If you are here only for day trip, sight seeing, most of the time you will be on your feet ( I mean walking) as except from the small public foot onsen bath, and if you can't get into a coffee shop or restaurant there's no where to sit and relax. I really enjoyed this trip as I wasn't disappointed the place is really picturesque. I would like to come back here again if I can manage to get an onsen hotel reservation.
