Climate Change and Sustainable Mobility Solution in India. | Dr. M.Z. Patanwala | TEDxRambaug
He is the founder of the country's premier institute of vocational education, Autoinstitute. He started the institute, along with his associate Yusuf D, in Mumbai in 2010.
Grasping the importance of the knowledge of not only the cutting-edge technology but also the global concern for climate change, Patanwala, a mechanical engineer by profession, set out to provide the best education in automobile engineering. But soon he realized that most students were not employable despite completion of their technical studies.
Being a visionary, Autoinstitute was set up with the objective of providing the students hands-on experience, so that they may be readily employable by the time they left the institute. With this objective and mission, Autoinstitute offers a three-year degree course focused on industry-aligned practical skills and professionally required life skills.
Besides, imparting training to students through his premier institute, Patanwala is also engaged in several social activities and programmes, including 'Mobility Skill 2020 & Beyond.' He has shown keen interest in topics, such as 'Sustainable Climate Solution in Automotive Domain.' Also, he has authored numerous articles on various topics.
He is a member of the Skill Development in CII, ITES, and a National Record Holder for conducting the largest EV training during the Covid-19 lockdown period.
Professor,
Co-Founder and Director of AutoInstitute,
Member of Skill Development in CII and ITES,
National Record Holder. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
