DEA Showcase August 2020

The second public showcase for 2020 presented how Digital Earth Australia is working with government and industry partners from the NSW Natural Resources Access Regulator (NRAR), FrontierSI, and AgriFutures Australia. A great line-up of speakers discussed topics such as Earth observation data’s role in managing water take compliance, and in growing Australia’s agritech industry for a sustainable and productive future.
The showcase also announced the release of DEA’s market research report, ‘Harvesting the Benefits of Earth Observation’ (available at https://frontiersi.com.au/dea ). The report identifies the benefits and barriers of the adoption of Earth observation data for the Agriculture sector and calls on technology, research and government sectors across Australia to help accelerate the growth of Earth observation product use.
