"We lube the hardware with Weight 4 and the pieces with Lubicle Standard and a little Maru. The Standard was our top choice because we felt it provided a good balance to the natural speed to the cube. A faster lube on the pieces (like Speedy) works too, if you don't mind a slightly faster than normal cube.

After setup, the cube has a more subdued click, and does not overturn. Tensioned correctly, the cube flexes quite a bit but remains very stable. All in all, the lube setup we use makes the cube more controllable without sacrificing its original feel.

Our custom version of the GTS is used by many top cubers, including Collin Burns, Patrick Ponce, Keaton Ellis and Rowe Hessler. We've had entire 3x3 podiums before with our custom GTS cubes. "
