Michel C. Nussenzweig, M.D., Ph.D., a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Investigator and the Zanvil A. Cohn and Ralph M. Steinman Professor at the Rockefeller University, delivers a scientific presentation at the Research Symposium to Inaugurate the NIH-Funded Einstein-Rockefeller-CUNY Center for AIDS Research (ERC-CFAR), held at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. In “The HIV Vaccine Problem,” he covers advances in understanding the antibody response to HIV, the development and harnessing of potent HIV-specific broadly neutralizing antibodies to treat and prevent HIV infection in animals and humans, and a pathway for developing a protective HIV vaccine.
