106-pound sow taken down with .22 LR Ruger 10/22 and SiOnyx Aurora camera

A customized Ruger 10/22, fitted with a Volquartsen carbon fiber barrel, is set up with an extra-long Picatinny rail to mount a Monstrum Tactical 1-4x scope with a Sionyx Aurora camera set up behind it.

The sow was observed with a FLIR Scout TK monocular. The ultra-low-light SiOnyx Aurora camera provides night vision capability. Illumination came from a 940-nm light mounted on the side of the rifle's fore-end.

One shot with a 40-grain round nose CCI Mini Mag was all that was needed to bring it down.

This is conducted under a wildlife control permit, sanctioned by the State of Hawaii.
