Disney's Art of Animation Resort! Join us for a resort and room tour at Art of Animation. This colorful resort features one of the very best things about Disney- animation! Upon entering the lobby guests can experience a transition from rough sketches in black and white to full-color drawings and then on to animated works of art. The check-in area ( Animation Hall) is decorated in a cheerful array of colors. Quick-service dining is available at Landscape of Flavors and there is a sizeable shop (Ink and Paint Shop) as well as an arcade off the lobby. The largest resort pool on Disney property, the Big Blue Pool, is just outside. The Nemo Family Suites (preferred) are in this section. There is also a play area and a pool bar nearby.

The Little Mermaid section of the resort features studio rooms only. There is a dedicated pool for guests as well. This is the furthest portion of Art of Animation. The theming is fantastic with Ariel and Ursula's figures adorning the buildings. Headed back toward Animation Hall we explore the Lion King section. There is plenty to see and photo opportunities abound. Although there is no pool dedicated to the Lion King section there is easy access to the nearby resort pools.

We stayed in the Cars section this trip. This is perhaps our favorite of the different sections as we literally feel like we are in the movies with Lightning McQueen and Mater! We share our Cars Family Suite tour. These suites can hold up to 6 guests. There is a bedroom with a queen bed, a sleeper sofa and a convertible TableBed as well as two bathrooms and a kitchenette. We felt the room was spacious and comfortable. The theming was incredible and we loved all the little touches like the orange cones of the curtains and lamps, the mechanic tool chest tables and dressers, the art on the walls and even the bathroom decor. The Cozy Cone pool is literally out of the movie. We can't say enough how much we enjoyed staying in the Cars section.

One of the "perks" of staying at Art of Animation is access to the Skyliner. Along the walkway, to hourglass lake, we enjoyed the trivia on the signs as well as the lakefront views.

We recommend this resort for all Disney lovers. Larger parties are likely to find the rooms comfortable and convenient. Access to the Skyliner is a bonus as well. Have you stayed at Art of Animation? Leave a comment down below and let us know your favorite section.
