2011 Ford Explorer Sport

These have a 3.5L DOHC V6 pumping out a decent 290 HP while paired to a 6 Speed Auto.

This was at Jarret/Gordon Ford. So I couldn't really do a start up. I just had to go for something & I couldn't help but took a closer look inside.

I really liked the Interior. Lots of Material that are soft to the touch, the dashboard, center arm rest, center console. Just about everything has a tight sold feel to it. The Leather was very nice with exposed stitching. The XLT had NAV, including the my Ford Touch system. Truck pretty much is just borderline in being a Limited. I liked the big 20" polished Aluminum wheels.

I don't care what some people say, I really liked how Ford stepped up with this Vehicle despite losing towing capacity, Body on Frame chassis, and a 4WD transfer case with Low Range Options. These Explorers will do just about anything, if not, EVERYTHING the traditional Explorer owners would ever want want from their truck.

An EcoBoost 4 Cyl is on the way a bit later. It should deliver similar HP & Torque yet deliver much better fuel mileage.
