Threadloops, eyelets, buttonholes: 3 favourite sewing techniques for closures

Timestamps for stitch demonstrations:
1:36 threadloops
6:21 eyelets
11:52 buttonholes

In this video I'd like to show you my 3 favourite sewing techniques for closures. I'm not great with zippers, and not terribly neat with a sewing machine, but these hand sewing techniques work well for many (historical) garments I make. They aren't extremely fancy, but they are very practical and you don't need a lot of special tools or supplies to make them work.

These techniques are all very similar when it comes to the stitch that is applied, but each technique has its own twist to it. The threadloop shows it more as a knot (a half hitch), the eyelet uses a buttonhole or blanket stich, and the button hole has a little twist added.
