Assassin's Creed II: Unpolished & Unrefined
I've been wanting to make this video for a while now but didn't really know how to structure it without seeming like I hate this game but I think this get's my point across well enough. This is the first video of mine that isn't super positive so if you want some more positivity you can check out my other Assassin's Creed videos,

Assassin’s Creed is one of the most prominent series of games in my life. Since the release of Assassin’s Creed two, I was totally on board with the franchise and purchased every new release when it came out. I loved seeing Ezio's journey come to a close in Assassin’s Creed Revelations. I loved pillaging ships and discovering treasure in Assassin's Creed Black Flag. I loved Assassin's Creed Unity’s improved stealth, combat, and parkour and the game was absolute eye candy. I even enjoyed the complete shift to a more RPG heavy game that Assassin's Creed Origins and Assassin's Creed Odyssey took. Assassin’s Creed Two, however... well... I don’t really like Assassin’s Creed Two. Of course, a great deal can be said for the way Assassin’s Creed Two improved on the first game as it clearly refined the mechanics of Assassin’s Creed One and by all means serves as a good sequel.
The graphics were great for the time and even to this day still look pretty good and the world and costume design are arguably top notch. However, the game definitely has its flaws which made it an ultimately unenjoyable experience for me.
I found that Assassin’s Creed Two’s gameplay was quite dull and even lacking in some cases. The stealth was borderline non-existent and whatever semblance of stealth there was isn’t fleshed out or even given to the player all the time. The combat felt repetitive and I got a sense that I had seen just about everything the combat had to offer by the end of the first few missions. The parkour while ambitious is quite janky and jank is one of my biggest issues with the game. Having to restart missions and being detected by enemies across the map was ultimately the cherry on top for my mind-numbing replay of this game. Drawn out sequences, bugs, and a myriad of other things left me feeling like this game was a trip down memory lane, that I would never go down again.
Assassin's Creed II is a 2009 action-adventure video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft.[1] It is the second major installment in the Assassin's Creed series, a sequel to 2007's Assassin's Creed. The game was first released on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in November 2009 and was later made available on Microsoft Windows in March 2010 and OS X in October 2010.
The plot is set in a fictional history setting and follows the centuries-old struggle between the Assassins, who fight for peace with free will, and the Knights Templars, who desire peace through control. The framing story is set in the 21st century and follows Desmond Miles as he relives the genetic memories of his ancestor Ezio Auditore da Firenze. The main narrative takes place at the height of the Renaissance in Italy during the 15th and early 16th centuries. Players can explore Florence, Venice, Tuscany and Forlì as they guide Ezio on a quest for vengeance against those responsible for betraying his family. The primary focus is to use the player's combat and stealth abilities, as Desmond begins to uncover the mysteries left behind by an ancient race known as the First Civilization in the hope of ending the conflict between the Assassins and Templars.
I hope we can soon see assassins creed Valhalla
Assassin's Creed Two is still a good game, I am just not a fan of Assassin's Creed Two. I enjoyed every other game in the Assassin's Creed franchise with Assassin's Creed Unity being favourite. Unfortunatley this game is unpolished and unrefined.
