Siser Leonardo Design Studio Tutorial: From PNG to Individual Cut Files Step-by-Step

In this video I’m sharing step-by-step how to open a PNG file, trace, then release the cut contours, and create individual cut files of each image in Siser Leonardo Design Studio.

Steps taken (may vary depending on image – see video for demonstration):
- In Siser LDS – click File - Open
- Open as Print and Cut at 300 dpi
- Adjust Trace options as needed – this will depend on the actual image & - may need to try different things
- Edit Menu - Release Cut Contours
- Toggle Print and Cut off on Art Board Panel
- Move image away.
- Right click on Blue Cut lines, select Paths, Break Paths – this will break up all of the cut contours
- Delete artifacts not needed
- Left click and drag across pieces of 1 design to select, right click, select path Combine Paths
- Object will fill with color = 1 design
- Repeat for all designs as desired
- If needed, work with individual designs to modify, edit, and adjust.
