Info from Wikipedia:

"Sa Ugoy ng Duyan" (literally in Tagalog: "In the Rocking of the Cradle"; official English title: "The Sway Of The Baby Hammock"[1]) is a Filipino lullaby. The music was composed by Lucio San Pedro while the lyrics was written by Levi Celerio.[1]Both of them were National Artists of the Philippines and this song was their most popular collaboration. Due to its popularity in the Philippines, it has been regarded by an entertainment writer in Philippine Entertainment Portal as familiar as the Philippine national anthem.[2] It has been interpreted and recorded by various Filipino artists.

Lucio San Pedro composed the music of "Ugoy ng Duyan"; it was derived from the fourth piece of his own Suite pastorale.[3] San Pedro drew inspiration in composing the music of the song from the melody his mother, Soledad Diestro, hummed when he and his siblings' were put into sleep during their childhood.[1] The song was supposed to be an entry to a competition in 1943, during the Japanese occupation of the Philippines.[3] However, because he could not find a collaborator to write the lyrics, he was unable to submit it.[3]
In 1947, San Pedro studied at Juilliard School of Music in New York City.[1] He went aboard a ship, the SS Gordon, in 1948 to return to the Philippines. While on a stopover in the Hawaiian city of Honolulu, he met Levi Celerio, who became San Pedro's lyricist for his composition and wrote the words of "Ugoy ng Duyan" during the rest of their trip.[1] The song was completed by the time they landed in Manila.[4] Both San Pedro and Celerio were later named National Artists of the Philippines; they died in 2002, only two days apart of each other.[1]

Maria Lea Carmen Imutan Salonga, KLD (born February 22, 1971), known as Lea Salonga (/ˈleɪə səˈlɒŋɡə/), is a Filipina singer and actress best known for her roles in musical theatre, for supplying the singing voices of two Disney Princesses, and as a recording artist and television performer.
At age 18, she originated the lead role of Kim in the musical Miss Saigon, first in the West End and then on Broadway,[3] winning the Olivier and Theatre World Awards, and becoming the first Asian woman to win a Tony Award.[4] Salonga is the first Filipino artist to sign with an international record label (Atlantic Records in 1993). She is also the first Philippine-based artist to have received a major album release and distribution deal in the United States, and one of the best-selling Filipino artists of all time, having sold over 19 million copies of her albums worldwide.[5][citation needed]
Salonga was the first actress of Asian descent to play the roles of Éponine and Fantine in the musical Les Misérables on Broadway.[6][7] She also portrayed Éponine and Fantine, respectively, in the musical's 10th and 25th anniversaryconcerts in London. She provided the singing voices of two official Disney Princesses: Jasmine in Aladdin (1992) and Fa Mulan in Mulan (1998). She was named a Disney Legend in 2011 for her work with The Walt Disney Company.[8]Salonga starred as Mei-li in the 2002 Broadway version of Flower Drum Song. She has played numerous other stage, film and TV roles in the US, the Philippines and elsewhere. She has toured widely in the title role of Cinderella, among other roles, and as a concert artist. From 2015 to 2016, she returned to Broadway in Allegiance, and from 2017 to 2018 she is appearing in the Broadway revival of Once on This Island.
