Tasmania is now on track to have the second-weakest threshold out of any state or territory for disclosing the identity of a political donor.

The Liberal government has legislation suggesting a $5,000 limit but the Labor opposition had stuck to a $1,000 limit. The government's legislation is now set to pass with the opposition's support, but Labor says it wants to try to amend the bill after it's passed into law.
