Change power tubes and adjust bias on your Marshall DSL40C - DIY tutorial

***WARNING****
Tube amps have voltages in excess of 450V that can KILL YOU instantly, even when unplugged! The procedure shown here involves working inside the amp while it's pluged and powered so EXTREME caution is mandatory. If you don´t have experience or don´t feel comfortable making this kind of jobs please take your amp to a qualified technician to do it for you. Be safe!!!

Diagnosing faults, replacing tubes and adjusting bias are skills that can be pretty usefull to any guitar player - at least for those of us who still prefer the warm glow of a couple of glass bulbs shining inside our amps - Here you'll learn how to do it for yourself with normal tools and in the safest way possible. "Safe" here is just a word, you'll never be 100% safe working a couple of millimeters away from live terminals with lethal voltages. Do it at your own risk. Extreme all the safety measures, check and re check before touching anything and allways stay alert! And as I said before, if you have doubts don't take the risk and let a technician do it for you. Is allways better spend some money and stay alive for the next gig!
