First time Primitive Camping - BOWMAN LAKE - Tahoe National Forest

Primitive Camping means no facilities whatsoever (no shower/no toilet/no running water), but we brought all the necessities of home with us, so it was a very pleasant time here at beautiful Bowman Lake, located in Tahoe National Forest, northwest of Lake Tahoe. A 4x4 high clearance vehicle is required to navigate the last 3-5 miles of bumpy gravel road. Bowman Lake has about 7 primitive campsites, unmarked so you have to look closely for them. We loved our location as it had easy water access and we were far away from other campers. Perfect place to getaway! Also note there is no cell signal here, of course.
