Do NOT tolerate Bullshit relationships where you can't bring up difficult things. You are not in prison. This is a relationship. It should be fair, mutual, and you both should welcome any and all subjects.

And so what if he gets mad? He has a right to get mad. Him being mad isn't a good enough reason to not keep bringing it up. He needs to be able to handle your truth and work with it and you should be able to handle his truth and feelings and work with it.

If you lack tools and skill, that's learnable. No problem. But if you lack any willingness, that's very problematic because you're back in prison again.

So, you both probably just need help communicating your feelings and learning how to receive their feelings. That simple.
