"There's a Bird In This Room" Part 2

I thought it was a chickadee, but it turned out to be a Brown Creeper.

What you didn't see was the 2-minute video of me trying to save the small bird by holding out my old aluminum baseball bat and coaxing him to jump on... in a British accent. 

Eventually, I put down the screen and sank into the moment. 

I went to that place... the one I detailed the LAST TIME THIS HAPPENED when that catbird got stuck on the back porch. Which happened right before the red-breasted robin incident when 3 babies were born in the nest that was made directly above the doorway threshold that I saw in the dream, in part 1 of this story...

LOL...

Still, following?

Anyway, this moment was occurring in the room where I sleep, pray, yoga, and strap up those suspenders you all love.

Side note: the catbird was the first of these events. Apparently, the shamanic meaning of seeing a catbird is to "teach you different languages." The meaning of seeing a robin is SO deep I can't even begin to start in this venue... And the creeper... it teaches us to only move upward, never backward.

I remembered the catbird's lesson... this worked one time before... let's see if I can do it again... let's see if I can speak... bird...

I began to breathe the words, feel the emotion, and embody the sentiment of the phrase "I'll help you get out, it's safe."

It took a minute.

But the bird hopped on the baseball bat and I brought him to the window...

that apparently has a compromised screen. 

I was just about to reach the opening when he jumped off and landed on the rim of the window.

There was a flash memory of the book "Life of Pie." In the end, right before Richard Parker walks into the jungle, Pie hopes that he will turn around and acknowledge him, the journey, the relationship... But the tiger only stalls for a moment before disappearing into the trees... never looking back.

HOWEVER, the creeper DID look back. AND he nodded his tiny head at me. Then he turned and spread his wings leaping into the air and flew out of my room.

I texted the psychic and told her of the dream... the souls... and the bird.

And she immediately points out the symbolic meaning...

"The bird you set free... is like the souls..."

"ughhhhh... WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT?"

I went about my day adjusting spines... magical ones too.

One person admitted after his first ring dinger... "I feel like I could walk on water... but there's no water to try."

FlashBack... A week earlier (before the psychic visit, cemetery jaunt, and bird in my room) I was sitting on the back porch enjoying a tobacco ceremony. An actual tobacco plant grows from the raised bed directly outside the porch. I planted one 3 years ago. It flowered and reseeded. Then did it again. This is the second year it's reappeared as a volunteer. It grows among the zinnia flowers. I use the leaves to wrap sacred objects or bury little creatures that I find expired in my garden.

In the past, I have unsuccessfully tried to prepare it for smoking.

At that moment, I was smoking the dried prepared version from a sacred glass vessel. I noticed feeling a bit awkward during the initial moments of the sacrifice. Because I was smoking a plant in front of its living relative... But then the white trumpet flowers of Nicotiana Tabacum assured me of its final destiny. And I was fine.

A hummingbird zoom in... it looked at me... then zoomed away.

Just in my periphery, there was a small dark shadow. It was clear in the open space. Then it disappeared. I knew I wasn't seeing things.

"Probably an entity of sorts..."

The next day I was out admiring the zinnia. The dark shadow appeared again... somewhat like a cloaked piece of energy... like it was about to take form... then vanished. 

FLASH FORWARD 10 days... after the bird romp, soul stomp, and the spirit guided psychopomp.

I was again on the porch... obviously, I like it there... enjoying a late summer, mid-afternoon torrential downpour.

A massive black mouse ran across the outside wall.

I reached down

grabbed my phone

looked up

and it was gone. 

...

"The shaman, perhaps?" I smiled.

...

"Time to fix a screen..."

...
