Repairing and Modifying the Prototype 121GW for Added Robustness
With the 121GW finally shipping, I imagine that we will see countless reviews of the new meter over the next few months as they start to arrive. In anticipation, I spent some time going back over the old videos I had made for the prototype / pre-production version of the meter. Sadly many of these videos of the prototype, along with viewer's comments, caused a fair amount of confusion and I decided to pull them all except for the original.
I have decided to make this video once again available to the public. For the most part, this video does not show any of the features beyond the basic functions needed to test the meter for damage.
In this video I attempt to repair the meter after it was damaged during the transient testing. After repairs the meter is modified to make it more robust. The video closes by comparing the burden voltage with my modified UNI-T UT61E.
The meter was damaged again after making this video when testing continued with the higher voltage generator. And again, the meter was repaired and further changes were made in an attempt to further improve it.

Enjoy.
