Drum Solo Demo Buddy Rich 1977 Slingerland Kit With Rare 26 Bass Drum

This is my rare 1977 Slingerland Buddy Rich model kit with the 26 inch bass drum. The other drums is a 9x13 tom, two 16x16 floor toms and the wonderful 5.5x14 TDR Buddy Rich model snare drum. For the first time in 1977, Slingerland used 5 ply maple shells. It is a thick shell with a coat of clear lacquer on the inside of the shell. These shells project very well and has a wonderful big full open tone to them. The very big 26 inch bass drum has only a two inch felt strip (front and back head) to get that wide open deep tone. Of course I love playing that TDR snare drum with the straight edge hoops, and the crisp tone out of this drum. I`m doing my drum solo demo in the BR style of drumming which is so much fun to play. Of course I have used these very Slingerland drums with my Ken Loomer Big Band. Great to see Slingerland is back in business again thanks to DW drums. I look forward to seeing and hearing their new line of Slingerland drums.
