"With so much focus on brian science and mental health, it is essential we consider the powerful brain intervention at the end of our forks," says Dr. Drew Ramsey. He discusses brain essential nutrients, describes how to eat for nutrient density, and gives five important categories of brain food: seafood, greens, nuts, beans, and a little dark chocolate. Drew Ramsey, M.D. is a psychiatrist, author, and farmer. He is one of psychiatry’s leading proponents of using dietary change to help balance moods, sharpen brain function, and improve mental health. An assistant clinical professor of psychiatry at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, his clinical work focuses on the treatment of depression and anxiety. Using the latest brain science and nutritional research, modern treatments, and delicious foods he aims to help people live to their happiest, healthiest lives. His bestseller, 50 Shades of Kale (HarperWave 2013), helped elevate kale to celebrity status and has made this superfood accessible to thousands.
