The album is produced by Bobby Colomby, drummer and founder of the band Blood, Sweat and Tears. It opens with a cover of the play Donna Lee by Miles Davis (attributed to Charlie Parker on the cover). Jaco is among others accompanied by Herbie Hancock on clavinet and electric piano, Narada Michael Walden of Mahavishnu Orchestra and Lenny White on drums, Randy Brecker on trumpet, David Sanborn on alto saxophone, Michael Brecker on tenor saxophone, Wayne Shorter on saxophone soprano as well as by a string orchestra.
