Focusing Problem in Nikon 18-200mm F3.5-5.6 AFS Dx Lens (see Description for the fix)
Nikon 18-200mm F3.5-5.6 AFS DX developed a focusing problem. It is intermittent and getting worse at long focal lengths.
This is caused by the drying out of lubricant in the focusing gear train. It is fixed by disassembling the lens from the lens mount and rubbing a tiny bit of lubricant on the gears.
