Reasons for Hope: saving the Northern Bald Ibis in Morocco

The Northern Bald Ibis is one of the world’s rarest birds and has been declining in the wild for many years. Together with BirdLife International and the Prince Albert II Foundation, we support the conservation of the remaining wild population in the Souss Massa national park near Agadir.

Join Catherine Hamilton retracing the historical footsteps of the Northern Bald Ibis in the Atlas Mountains and follow her visiting the ibises breeding places in Souss Massa National Park where, under careful management, the colonies have been growing steadily for several years and now, new breakaway colonies are forming.
We are proud to be part of this inspiring conservation success story.
