I'm a gamer (part 15) #shorts

The raven’s beak was a polearm developed in the late medieval period to counter the effectiveness of full plate armor. Its defining feature was a curved, narrow spike designed to concentrate force onto small surface areas, making it ideal for targeting gaps in armor such as joints, visors, and the base of the skull. Unlike cutting weapons, which were often deflected by hardened steel, the raven’s beak delivered percussive, penetrating strikes that could cause severe trauma. Even without full penetration, the impact could result in crushed bones, internal bleeding, and traumatic brain injuries due to the transfer of kinetic energy through the armor. Commonly used by infantry during the 14th and 15th centuries, particularly in German and Burgundian forces, the weapon reflected a shift in battlefield tactics toward specialized tools designed to defeat increasingly advanced personal protection.
