High School Parliamentary Debate - 2015 Windsor Invitational - FINALS

This is the championship round of the 7th Annual Windsor Invitational High School Parliamentary Debate Tournament. Recorded 2/21/15 in the Windsor High School Performing Arts Center (Windsor, CA) and copyrighted by the WHS Debate Team.

Open Division finals featured Lowell WP (Thomas White & Eli Pollock) facing Analy WS (Mari Wilson & Roxanne Salkeld) after both teams earned perfect 4-0 records and top speaker ratings in preliminary competition.

The topic for the final debate was: "Artificial Intelligence poses greater threats than potential benefits to humanity."

A coin-flip determined Lowell WP would affirm the resolution and Analy WS would negate. Each team had 20 minutes to prepare once the topic was announced.

After 40 minutes of debate, Lowell WP prevailed on a 4-1 split decision.

Congrats to both teams on a fine performance!

A total 200 students from 18 schools competed in this event.
